Simulcast to multiple platforms

Parent page

You can use Playback’s simulcast feature to stream to multiple platforms simultaneously like YouTube, X, Twitch, Facebook etc. Simulcasting can expand your reach and help you drive traffic to your Playback room.

Add simulcast destinations

Go to your room settings and open the simulcast section to add destinations that you want to simulcast to. Provide an RTMP URL and a stream key to add a destination.

Here are some platform-specific instructions for obtaining RTMP URLs and stream keys:

Start a simulcast

Step 1: Choose destination

You can start and stop simulcasts from the simulcast menu in your Playback room.

Step 2: Create a broadcast on the destination platform

After Playback starts sending your stream to your destinations, you can go to the destination platform to finish setting up your broadcast: e.g. for YouTube, you will need to go to http://youtube.com/livestreaming to give your broadcast a title.

Automatically exclude copyright broadcasts

If you are streaming copyright content from one of Playback’s streaming apps (e.g. NBA League Pass), Playback will automatically remove the copyright broadcast from the simulcast. In the case of an NBA game, Playback will show the live score and game clock so your simulcast viewers can still follow along.
