This Creator Payout Policy outlines the terms governing how creators participating in Playback’s Creator Rewards Program and Partner Program earn, manage, and collect their payouts.
1. Eligibility
To receive payouts, creators must:
- Be an active participant in the Creator Rewards or Partner Program.
- Have a verified payout method connected via the Playback Wallet.
- Remain in compliance with Playback's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
2. Earnings and Payment Schedule
- Earnings are calculated based on subscription revenue, Creator Fund allocations (through July 2025), and other monetization opportunities.
- All payouts are processed on NET-30 terms, meaning payments are made 30 days after the end of the month in which earnings occurred.
- Playback reserves the right to withhold payment in cases of suspected fraud, chargebacks, or breach of terms.
3. Payout Methods
- Creators must connect a valid payout method via Playback Wallet.
- Payouts may be set to automatic or manually withdrawn at the creator's discretion.
4. Unclaimed Funds and Forfeiture
- If a creator does not withdraw their available earnings within twelve (12) months of the funds becoming available, the balance may be forfeited and returned to Playback.
- Reinstatement or recovery of forfeited funds is not guaranteed and is at the sole discretion of Playback.
5. Taxes and Reporting
- Creators are responsible for any taxes associated with their earnings.
- Playback may issue tax documents as required by law (e.g., 1099 forms for U.S.-based creators).
6. Updates to Policy
Playback may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted publicly, and continued use of Playback constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
