The Studio is your all-in-one control panel for managing your live stream, simulcasts, outputs, and audience — all from inside your Playback room.
Creators can open the Studio before going live to set up their event or while live to manage everything in real time.
What’s New in the Playback Studio
- Unified Studio panel – All your stream, output, and audience management tools are now in one place.
- Pinned tool bar – Access your favorite tools faster, with the ability to drag to reorder.
- View selector with previews – See live previews of your recordings and simulcasts before and during your stream.
- Persistent stream clock – Always know how long you’ve been live.
🖱 Opening the Studio
- Click the Studio button in the bottom-left corner of your room.
- The Studio panel will slide in from the left side of your screen.
- You can keep it open while streaming or close it to focus on your stage.
🚀 Top Controls
- Add event → Schedule an upcoming stream with a title, description, and thumbnail.
- Go live → Start your stream instantly.
- View selector → Preview different views:
- Room – See what your Playback audience sees.
- Simulcast – Preview your outbound stream.
- Landscape recording – Check your 16:9 recording layout.
- Portrait recording – Check your 9:16 recording layout.
🎥 Stream Section
Manage your live content sources here.
- Stage → Add yourself and guests to appear on camera.
- Media → Play videos, images, or other uploaded media.
- Segments → Organize and switch between different segments of your stream.
- Coming soon: Assets, Elements, Theme for richer branding and layouts.
- Pin to toolbar → Hover over any tool and click the 📌 icon to add it to your Pinned tool bar at the bottom of your room. You can drag pinned tools into any order you like.
📡 Outputs Section
Control where your stream is broadcast and how it’s shared.
- Clips → Quickly capture short highlight moments from your live event.
- Simulcast → Send your stream to YouTube, Twitch, Facebook, X, or other platforms.
- Coming soon: Recordings for saving full-length sessions automatically.
👥 Audience Section
Engage with your viewers and manage access.
- Chat settings → Control who can send messages and how chat behaves.
- VIP manager → Assign and manage special access for VIP guests.
- Subscriber access → Enable subscriber-only benefits for your room.
📌 The Pinned Tool Bar
The pinned tool bar lives at the bottom center of your room view and gives you quick access to your favorite Studio tools.
- Pin or unpin from inside the Studio panel.
- Drag tools in the pinned bar to rearrange their order.
- Pins are creator-specific — your layout won’t affect other creators.
Tip: The Studio is designed so you never need to leave your Playback room to manage your event — from starting the stream, simulcasting, switching media, to controlling audience engagement.
