Stream Live MLB with MLB.TV
MLB.TV subscribers can stream live MLB games on Playback all season long (preseason, regular season, special events and postseason).
Playback currently supports the following MLB.TV packages:
- MLB.TV All Teams – Out-of-market MLB games for all teams
- MLB.TV Single Team – Out-of-market MLB games for all teams
Playback does not yet support in-market packages, e.g. Giants.TV.
MLB.TV is subject to blackouts depending on location. In-market games (e.g. the locally televised team where you live), Apple TV+ games, ESPN games in the US are some examples of blackouts for MLB.TV.

MLB Free Game of the Day
You can watch every MLB Free Game of the Day on Playback without an MLB.TV subscription. Just connect a free MLB account to get access. See upcoming free games in the MLB live game schedule.
Connect your MLB account
To access live MLB broadcasts on Playback, connect your MLB account. If your MLB account has an active MLB.TV subscription, you will have access to the games available in your package on Playback.
At this time Playback can only authenticate MLB.TV subscriptions purchased directly from the MLB. Add-ons like MLB Extra Innings purchased through your TV provider are not supported.
Stream MLB games in your room
Go to your room and choose “select stream” to open the streaming menu. On mobile tap on the green streaming menu icon.
From the streaming menu, open “Live TV.” You’ll see a list of the live and starting soon MLB games.

Select a game and choose “stream” to play it in your room.

You can add multiple games to your room and quickly switch between them from your streaming menu.

MLB Gamecast
Playback will show a Gamecast in the stream for all viewers without access to the broadcast. The Gamecast will show the score, inning, balls and strikes synced up exactly with the broadcast the room is streaming.
The gamecast will be shown to:
- Viewers on Playback without access to the MLB.TV broadcast
- Viewers of the simulcasted stream on other platforms, e.g. YouTube
