Viewers can pause and rewind live Playback streams by turning off Ultra Live mode.

Turn off Ultra Live
Playback live streams are delivered in Ultra Live mode by default. Ultra Live streams have zero delay so participants can interact live with no latency like a video chat. Viewers can turn off Ultra Live to switch to a classic buffered live stream and access playback controls like pause and rewind.
Buffering works by preloading portions of the video, adding 5-10 seconds of delay compared to Ultra Live. Buffered video streaming is the standard format on traditional live streaming video apps.
Sync up during live watch parties
If you’re in a Playback room that is streaming a live sports broadcast like an NBA or MLB game, you can turn off Ultra Live to pause and sync up the Playback room with your TV or wherever else you’re watching the game.
TV broadcasts only show up in Ultra Live for now
If you have access to watch NBA or MLB broadcasts on Playback, you will need to be on Ultra Live mode to watch them in the Playback room. You can turn off Ultra Live mode if you want to rewind the live stream but it will not show the TV broadcast and will instead show the Gamecast with the live score and game clock. TV broadcasts are coming soon for viewers watching on delay.
