π Overview
Around the Room brings the energy of Around the Horn to your Playback Rooms.
Itβs a live, game-style format for communities that love debating, laughing, and competing β all in real time.
Use it to host daily discussions, creator panels, or community debates.
Each session moves through rundowns, showdowns, and ends with a declared winner.
π How to access Around the Room
- Open your Playback Room
- Select Game Mode
- Choose a format
- Around the Room β a full-panel debate with points and a final winner
- Showdown β a 1-on-1 version for quick debates
- Read the in-app overview
- Segments: Add or reorder topics
- Point allocation: Host awards or deducts points
- Showdown: Final head-to-head
- Declaring a winner: End the game when ready
Go to your event and click Studio from the bottom toolbar.
In the left panel under Stream, choose Game Mode.
Youβll see two options:
Click the β icon to launch either mode.

π§ Running your Around the Room session
1. Set up your game
After selecting Around the Room, youβll see the setup screen where you configure your session before going live
- Host β Runs the show. Awards points, advances through segments, and declares the winner.
- Players β Add 2β4 creators or contributors.
- Segments β Add debate topics for the show. You can upload a graphic or GIF and optionally send a push notification when each segment starts.
Click Add to event β once youβve configured everything to begin your Around the Room session.
2. Start the Room
Once added to your event, select Around the Room and go live.
Invite up to four creators or contributors β each appears in a color-coded frame.
3. The Rundown
Use the right-hand Rundown panel to guide your debate topics.
Panelists take quick turns reacting to each question before time runs out.
4. Scoring & Points
As the host, you control scoring in real time:
- Award points for great takes, creativity, or humor.
- Deduct points for off-topic or weak responses.
Scores appear beside each playerβs frame and update instantly.
5. Showdown
When only two players remain, switch to Showdown Mode for a one-on-one debate.
Other participants are automatically removed from the stage.
6. Declaring a Winner
When the discussion wraps, the participant with the highest score wins.
You decide when to end the game β the app displays a trophy card showing total points, win rate, and recent performance.

- Keep takes short β ideally 10β15 seconds for a fast-paced game, or up to 30 seconds for deeper discussions
